MGB Catering secured the contract to supply the Sark Building Company owned by the Barclay Brothers in the Channel Islands.
Site visits were made and cad plans drawn up with liaisons on electrical, gas and building specifications with other contractors. The Logistics of supplying equipment to the Island of Sark, where no motor vehicles are allowed, means only a ferry supplies the island. Bicycle / tractor power is the only island transport were to prove interesting. After organising a shipper, ferry, and tractors, equipment was delivered to the hotel door, where tools and equipment, including relevant health and safety items were all satisfactorily in place ready to install the full catering kitchen and bars areas. The crockery and all utensils followed and the hotel dixcart bay successfully opened on time.
We now supply the other hotels and all the service maintenance on existing equipment on the island.
